The recipient of the 2025 PEO Algonquin Chapter Scholarship was presented on 2025 Jun 26th to Aarush Vaidya from Mackenzie Community School, Deep River, in recognition of his outstanding scholastic performance, community service, volunteerism, understanding and interest in the engineering profession. Aarush will be starting the Mechanical Engineering program in September 2025 at University of Ottawa.

On April 12, 2025, the PEO Algonquin Chapter hosted a Popsicle Stick Bridge Building and Busting Challenge in the Petawawa Civic Centre for students in grades 5 to 12 from across the Ottawa Valley.
Student teams designed and constructed their bridges with popsicle sticks and glue. Volunteers from the PEO Algonquin Chapter provided materials and instructions.

The PEO North Bay chapter would like to invite students from grades 5 through 12 to participate in the 2025 Bridge Building Competition on Friday March 28, 2025 at St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Catholic School. Students are provided balsa wood sticks to create wood bridges that are then scored for structural strength and craftsmanship.
