Current Issue
Engineering Dimensions is published quarterly by Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) and is distributed to all PEO-licensed professional engineers. The magazine provides information relevant to the practice of professional engineering and promotes awareness of the Professional Engineers Act and the activities of the association.
In this issue: We provide a recap of PEO’s annual general meeting, share updates to the Mine Rehabilitation Code of Ontario, provide guidance on complying with electrical plan reviews and answer your questions about PEO’s PEAK program. Plus, we explore the role of PEO’s tribunals in fulfilling the engineering regulator’s public-protection mandate and introduce you to new Council President Gregory P. Wowchuk, P.Eng., FEC.

To provide information to member on events, issues and public policy developments, especially those relevant to the practice of professional engineering in Ontario; and
-
To promote public awareness of the Professional Engineers Act, the role of the association and the responsibilities of professional engineers.
We’re digital-only
Engineering Dimensions’ move to digital and away from paper format is an environmentally responsible measure and consistent with how many comparable publications are now delivered. It is also in line with PEO’s modernization efforts, where communications with key stakeholders, including licence holders, are now increasingly reliant on digital-only mechanisms. The electronic version of Engineering Dimensions allows readers to:
- receive the issue instantly on the day it is published;
- download a PDF copy to their electronic devices, where it can be preserved indefinitely;
- use keywords to search for topics of interest; and
- distribute specific articles of interest to friends and colleagues at any time.
In addition to these advantages, the digital-only magazine expands the potential audience for news about PEO and our work as a regulator; the magazine can be easily viewed for free by anyone at engineeringdimensions.ca.
