Peter Schmidt, P.Eng., is active in the Kingston Chapter, PEO committees, as well as various education outreach initiatives. As treasurer and chair of the chapter's Finance Committee, Schmidt developed software-based tools for use in preparing business and finance documents. He was also instrumental in developing and maintaining a database of active chapter members, and launched licence certificate presentation ceremonies as a formal event. As a member of PEO's Experience Requirements Committee, Schmidt has completed accreditation visits to engineering schools in the Kingston area to help ensure the schools' programs provide the required academic preparation for licensing.
