Professional Engineers Ontario recognized as a 2026 Greater Toronto Top Employer

PRESS RELEASE

December 2, 2025, Toronto  — Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) is proud to announce its recognition as one of Greater Toronto’s Top Employers for 2026. PEO regulates the practice of engineering and governs the  profession in Ontario in order to protect the public.

Part of Canada’s Top 100 Employers project, the Greater Toronto competition evaluates workplaces across eight criteria, including workplace culture, benefits, performance management and training. It also considers factors such as mental health supports, safety and inclusion.

“This recognition reflects the culture we’ve been intentionally building: one that is grounded in trust, belonging and shared purpose,” says PEO CEO/Registrar Jennifer Quaglietta, P.Eng., MBA, ICD.D. “Being named a top employer tells us we’re moving in the right direction.”

For PEO’s nearly 150 employees, the honour affirms their work experience. The regulator has purposefully created a workplace where employees feel connected, empowered and supported. The result is an environment where colleagues greet one another warmly, collaborate openly and contribute ideas confidently.

“Our diversity is one of our greatest strengths,” says Quaglietta. “It broadens our perspective and helps us make better decisions in fulfilling our public protection mandate. A strong workplace is crucial in relation to our ability to protect the public. When employees feel supported and encouraged to bring their unique perspectives to the table, the quality of our work improves.”

As PEO continues to protect the public interest by setting and upholding high academic, experience and professional practice standards for the engineering profession, it remains committed to being a workplace of choice for skilled professionals.
