2026 PEAK CPD program launched January 6

UPDATE

PEO's mandatory 2026 continuing professional development program called Practice Evaluation and Knowledge (PEAK) was launched on January 6, 2026.

Professional engineers and limited licence holders must complete the PEAK program every year to maintain their licence. (Licence holders on fee remission or in their first calendar year of licensure are exempt from the program.)

The PEAK program has three elements:

  1. ‘Practice Evaluation’, which is due on January 31, 2026.
  2. ‘Professional Practice Module’, which is due on January 31, 2026.
  3. ‘Continuing Professional Development Report’, which is due on December 31, 2026. (This element may not apply to you depending on your responses in the Practice Evaluation element.)

The first two elements only take about 60 to 90 minutes to complete.

To complete these requirements: Go to the PEAK section of your PEO portal account. Follow the prompts to be directed to the PEAK platform.

Your annual PEAK requirements are mandatory. Licence holders who fail to comply with the 2026 PEAK program risk having their PEO licence suspended.

For videos about how to complete your PEAK requirements, visit the PEAK "How-To Videos" webpage.

Fee remission: If you have an extenuating circumstance, explore PEO’s fee remission program, which allows you to retain your licence, reduces your licence fee for you committing not to practise, and exempts you from all PEAK program requirements.
