Cosimo Casale, P.Eng., RPP, MCIP, PLE

Mr. Casale earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Toronto and an Electronics Engineering Technology diploma from Humber College. He has completed training in Negotiation Essentials, Accounting and Finance. He also holds board governance certificates from the Rotman School of Management and the Rudolf Steiner Centre.

Mr. Casale maintains engineering licences in multiple provinces, is a Registered Professional Planner and member of the Canadian Institute of Planners. He is also designated as a Professional Land Economist.

With more than 30 years of professional consulting and business experience, Mr. Casale has led residential, commercial, institutional and death-care land development projects across Canada. His work includes managing multidisciplinary teams of planners, architects, engineers, ecologists, economists and legal professionals. His experience spans site planning, stormwater management, environmental and civil engineering, building design, planning approvals, permitting, construction administration and property asset management.

Mr. Casale has coordinated complex regulatory, land development and infrastructure matters, integrating technical, planning and legal considerations for tribunal hearings and expropriation processes. He has particular specialization in cemetery, death-care and retirement-community development.

He has served as Chair, President, Vice-Chair and Director on not-for-profit boards. His governance work has included implementing new governance structures, contributing to strategic planning, supporting policy development and participating in risk governance.

Mr. Casale also engages in volunteer initiatives focused on mentorship, community outreach and professional advocacy.
