Angela Scott, P.Eng., FEC

Officer of the Order of Honour, 2025 | Chatham-Kent Chapter

A Member of the Order of Honour since 2016, Angela Scott has continued her prolific volunteer service at the chapter level, enthusiastically providing her time and knowledge to bolster the profession.

A dedicated Chatham Kent Chapter volunteer since 2001, Angela has repeatedly served as chapter chair—a post she continues to hold since 2021. Her exceptional leadership skills have been instrumental in shaping countless careers and fostering strong community leaders. But her commitment to education outreach, especially at the elementary and high school levels, has been transformative.

She was instrumental in developing the chapter’s education outreach program, which includes classroom visits, design competitions, a bursary program and highly successful engineering day camps run by engineers and local high school students. Recognizing the importance of promoting the engineering profession at the elementary level, Angela has been actively involved in inspiring young minds. And her impactful presentations at the high-school level have influenced many students to pursue engineering careers. By demonstrating that engineering isn’t just doing calculations all day, and often involves working in teams to create solutions to benefit society, her outreach is helping create a more diverse group of students to consider engineering as their future career.

An active participant in both the outreach and governance of the profession, Scott served on PEO’s former Advisory Committee on Volunteers and the former Education Committee’s conference organizing committee and coordinated numerous seminars for applicants as they navigated the licensing process.
