PEO York Chapter - Quality Eng. & Continuous Improvement in Manufacturing

6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Courtyard Toronto Markham

65 Minthorn Boulevard Markham, ON L3T 7Y9

Event Information:

In today’s competitive market, companies are looking to manufacture quality products based on customer demands to be delivered on time with a valuable price. This cannot be achieved unless wastes being eliminated along with reducing the variables in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Cycle time need to be reduced, and overall equipment efficiency need to be improved in order to let companies to keep competitive. Quality engineering is playing a major role in this regard. In close communication with process every and each operation need to be evaluated to capture potential failure modes, their effects, and causes. Then, probability of occurrence, severity of that failure, and detection method in place need to be scored to reveal risk priority number. The higher numbers need to be addressed in priorities. Analysis of the measurement system used in statistical process control is also another aspect of quality engineering. In this technical presentation, we will discuss about all these.
