PEO York Chapter - Non-Destructive Evaluation of Concrete Structures

6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Courtyard by Marriott Toronto Markham

65 Minthorn Boulevard Markham, ON L3T 7Y9

Event Information:

In this technical presentation, we will present a multi-technology NDT approach for evaluating corrosion in concrete.

We will review how implementing these test methods can provide asset owners with key information about the health and integrity of their assets and selecting the best repair and maintenance schemes. The following tests will be reviewed in a series of case studies:

• Half-Cell Potential Measurement
• Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)
• Corrosion Rate Measurement
• Surface Electrical Resistivity
• Impact-Echo
• Ultrasonic Pulse Echo

By leveraging these non-destructive testing methods, engineers can accurately assess the condition of concrete structures, identify areas susceptible to corrosion, and implement timely maintenance strategies to extend the service life of infrastructure.
