Webinar: Environmental Permissions for Water Taking and Storm Water Management Works – May 12
Online
Due to high demand, the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) is offering a second webinar and Q&A session on Environmental Permissions for Water Taking and Storm Water Management Works.
Date: May 12, 2026
Time: 1 - 2 p.m. ET
Join the MECP for an informative online session on key regulatory changes introduced in 2025 that impact:
- water takings for construction dewatering activities
- foundation drainage systems used primarily for residential purposes
- storm water management works that are privately owned and service commercial, residential and specified industrial activities.
This session will provide clarity on the updated regulatory framework, including the roles of professional engineers. Participants will also receive a live demonstration of the Environmental Activity and Sector Registry (EASR) online system.
Please note: This session will feature the same presentation delivered on April 30. MECP has expanded the event capacity to accommodate all interested participants. If you missed the session or were unable to secure a spot, you can access the presentation deck and watch the April 30 recording.
