Welcome to the first installment of the Ottawa Chapter Education Presentation Series. The presentations will be provided virtually, with speakers discussing their topics for approximately one hour and allowing for a half-hour Question and Answer (Q&A) session.  Though these will be mainly PEAK overview and exploratory sessions, they do not replace formal training courses or programs.

When - Thursday, Apr 23 from 6 pm to 7:30 pm EDT

Topic - PEAK Overview Presentation

Abstract:

PEO practitioners are required to complete continuing professional development (CPD) every year to maintain their licence. PEO administers this requirement through the Practice Evaluation and Knowledge (P.E.A.K.) program, which helps licence holders avoid competency drift and practise competently and ethically.

Presenter:

Scott Long is the PEAK program's compliance officer. In this capacity, he prepares and administers compliance strategies to help PEO licence holders meet their CPD requirements. Additionally, he continually works with the PEAK team to enhance the PEAK program and ensure its relevance in protecting the public.
