The Ottawa Chapter of the PEO is sponsoring a Design Competition for Engineering Students at the University of Ottawa, with 120 students in 25 teams competing for the prize money.  This year’s theme is “Enhancing Energy Efficiency in Residential Buildings”, with project categories of

  • Energy-smart building components
  • Energy-saving occupant behaviour
  • Solar system integration

The university is looking for judges, with the students presenting their ideas at the University of Ottawa on Thursday November 27th.  If you are interested in being one of the judges, please contact Justine at [email protected] 

The day’s events for Judges and Students run from 10am to 4pm.  The public is welcome to come see the students’ presentations from 12:30 to 2:00 with the competition award ceremony running from 3:00 until 4:00.
