About the Ottawa Chapter

PEO chapters are the local presence for Professional Engineers Ontario in 36 regions across the province.

The PEO – Ottawa Chapter (oPEO) was founded in 1960 and is now the second largest Chapter in Ontario, with over 9,500 members.

Through our events, each year the oPEO implements  programs: 1) to facilitate communication between PEO Council and its members; 2) to provide a forum for discussion of local engineering matters, professional development and social outreach; and 3) to promote public awareness of the engineering profession.
