Technical Seminar: Artificial Intelligence in Industry

This is the first technical seminar being offered as part of a joint venture between the PEO Lambton Chapter and the Sarnia-Lambton Research Park.  

This seminar will include:

  • an in-depth, dissertation-quality presentation that you may choose to use for CPD credits to assist in your PEAK technical continuing education
  • a networking session following the seminar for attendees to talk to the Presenter and to network with fellow P.Engs

The topic for this introductory technical seminar is on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Impact on Industrial Applications.  Our presenter is Dr. Yimin Yang, an Assistant Professor at the University of Western Ontario in the Department of Electrical and Computing Engineering.  His current research interests include machine learning, pattern recognition, and data analysis to support AI models applicable in industries.

The technical seminar will begin at 7:00 pm.  We ask that you arrive at 6:45 pm, as the doors will be locked after 7:15 pm.

The seminar is scheduled to last about one hour including Q&A.  Have your questions ready.

Complimentary finger food along with soft beverages will be provided.

Registration via Eventbrite is required for this event, and is open to PEO P.Engs only.  As part of the registration process, please add your PEO license number after your last name. This will allow the administrator to cross-check registrations against PEO’s membership directory.
