The Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the East Toronto Chapter of Professional Engineers Ontario is an important event for all Chapter Members. The AGM will open with refreshments and networking, followed by a call to order and a welcome address by the Chapter's Chair. Reports from the Committee Chairs will be presented, followed by the election of the Chapter's Board for 2025.
Keynote Speaker: Falguni Shah, M.Eng., P.Eng, Director of Customer Connections & Key Account Services at Toronto Hydro Electric Systems Ltd.
Falguni Shah is the Director of Customer Connections & Key Account Services at Toronto Hydro Electric Systems Ltd., bringing over 25 years of experience in the electric utility sector. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master's degree in Power Systems, and is a registered Professional Engineer in Ontario.
With extensive expertise in smart grid technologies, distribution system automation, and the integration of distributed resources, Falguni also specializes in power system reliability, planning, and operations. She has a proven track record in strategic and people leadership and excels in building high-performing teams and driving innovation. At Toronto Hydro, she leads the customer connections department and manages key customer relationships.
Falguni currently serves as Vice Chair of the two technical committees for the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) – Standards Councils of Canada (SCC). She is also a member of the Industry Advisory Board at Ontario Tech University, Oshawa, and the Program Advisory Committee at Centennial College, Scarborough.
