Windsor Engineering Competition 2025 – Judges Needed!!!
The University of Windsor’s Engineering Student Society (EngSoc) will be hosting its annual Windsor Engineering Competition on November 15, 2025. The undergrad students will compete for bragging rights and the opportunity to represent the University at the provincial and potentially national competition levels. This competition has a rich history, spanning decades, and serves as a platform for engineering students to demonstrate their skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. This fun-filled event puts the engineering students’ skills to the test, as they race for time to deliver a promising solution to a real-world practical problem. Open to all undergraduate part-time and full-time students across all engineering disciplines, the event challenges students to develop innovative solutions to real-world engineering problems, offering them invaluable practical experience outside the classroom.
The primary objective of WEC is to provide undergraduate engineering students with an opportunity to engage deeply with their field of study. By participating, students will enhance their teamwork, technical skills, and professional development. Winning teams advance to the Ontario Engineering Competition (OEC) and potentially the Canadian Engineering Competition (CEC), representing the University of Windsor at higher levels against other universities. These competitions are nothing short of exhilarating, fun, and a great opportunity for our local students to make memories as undergrads. This year, EngSoc will once again be hosting competitions for Junior Design, Senior Design, Programming, and Parliamentary Debate.
What does EngSoc need from the Windsor-Essex Chapter PEO Membership? Judges! Lots of judges!!! If you have some time available to help inspire these budding young minds while critiquing their work, please consider volunteering as a judge for this Saturday morning event. More details are as follows:
