The Technical Programs Committee welcomes all Members (PEO and OACETT) to join them for this seventh presentation in their continued series of technical talks, provided by various speakers in numerous areas of science, technology and engineering. This talk will be focused on the lightweight fill properties of the commercially available product called CEMATRIX. Our guest speaker (Oliver Xiao, P.Eng. , LEED® GA) will describe this cellular concrete product (with a cast density as low as 400kg/m3) and its functionality in different scenarios, specifically for lightweight fill applications, such as reducing settlement of underlying peat and/or soft soils, or reducing loading on unstable slopes.
