100th Anniversary of the Iron Ring Ceremony - July 9, 2025  

The Calling of an Engineer “Iron Ring” Ceremony turns 100 this year! The next Calling of an Engineer Ceremony hosted by Camp 14 Windsor, will be held on July 9, 2025, at 4:00 pm at the St. Clair Centre of the Arts Theatre, Windsor, Ontario. Previously obligated engineers who attended their own ceremonies and received an Iron Ring are invited to attend.

The first Ceremony was held in Montreal on April 25, 1925, and this year marks its 100th anniversary. The Corporation of Seven Wardens, which governs the Ceremony in Canada, has recently revised the Ceremony, bringing it into the 21st century, to reflect the many different aspects of our modern engineering community. The Ceremony remains reflective and contemplative, emphasizing the importance of the ethical and professional obligations all engineers must uphold, as they embark on their career.

Guest tickets are $20 per person. This hot link will take you to an Eventbrite purchase/payment page. Note that the Eventbrite site also includes a separate opportunity to purchase tickets to the After-Ceremony Reception, also located within the St. Clair Centre of the Arts building. The After-Ceremony Reception is a separate event and is NOT organized by Camp 14.

When attending the ceremony, please ensure you wear your Iron Ring and are on time.
