The Winter CPC-2026 for the newly licensed Engineers is scheduled for Friday, March 20, 2026. Certificate Recipients, who accepted our invitation are cordially invited to attend this event at which time they will be presented with a framed Certificate.

Engineering Integrity: Understanding Ethics, Regulations and Responsibility
SPEAKER:

Ashley Gismondi, Senior Enforcement and Outreach Officer, Regulatory Compliance, Professional Engineers Ontario
ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Ashley is a Senior Enforcement and Outreach Officer with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO). She began her career in Regulatory Compliance, then completed a secondment with the Program Management Office to support the launch of FARPACTA before returning to her team in Unlicensed Practice Enforcement. Prior to joining PEO, Ashley worked at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) as a Hearings Analyst.
Ashley holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Law from York University, a Master of Public Administration from Queen’s University, and a Certificate in Project Management from the University of Toronto.
Beyond her professional responsibilities, Ashley is an active community leader. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Foundation for Engineering Education, where she was elected Secretary in 2021. Established in 1959, the Foundation supports and recognizes engineering students across Ontario for academic achievement and leadership excellence. She also serves as Treasurer for her daughter’s Catholic School Parent Council, reflecting her commitment to education and community engagement.
SYNOPSIS:
This presentation introduces newly licensed engineers to the regulatory framework that governs engineering practice in Ontario, including key obligations under Ontario Regulation 941 and the Professional Engineers Act. It highlights the importance of ethical conduct and good character, types of licences, and the duty to report unsafe or unprofessional practices. Through real enforcement examples, attendees will gain a clear understanding of how regulatory oversight protects the public interest and upholds the integrity of the engineering profession.
