PEO London Chapter - Grand Bend Water Treatment Plant Visit
Grand Bend Water Treatment Plant
71155 Bluewater Highway, Grand Bend, ON N0M 1T0
This tour will provide participants with an opportunity to learn about one of the region’s key drinking water systems. The Grand Bend Treatment Facility is part of the Lake Huron Primary Water Supply System (LHPWSS), which provides approximately 80–85% of the City of London’s drinking water supply, with the remainder supplied by the Elgin Area Primary Water Supply System.
During the visit, attendees will gain insight into the treatment processes and infrastructure that allow the facility to treat and pump water to the Arva Terminal Reservoir, serving a regional population of approximately 500,000 people. The tour will highlight the engineering, operations, and scale required to reliably deliver safe drinking water to communities across the region.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
