IO-Link and Its Role in Modern Smart Factories
Join us for an in-depth technical session exploring the full potential of IO-Link and its role in modern smart factories.
The Presentation will begin with the fundamentals, covering what IO-Link is, why it is needed, and the value it brings to the sensor-level network. From there, we will dive into system architecture, IO-Link masters and devices, and the use of IODD files to extract and utilize valuable sensor data.
Building on this foundation, the session will connect IO-Link to the broader Industry 4.0 and IIoT landscape.
Participants will learn how IO-Link data enables intelligent connectivity through common industrial protocols such as OPC UA, MQTT, and Modbus TCP.
Live demonstrations using UA Expert, Ignition, and Mosquitto MQTT will illustrate real-world applications and data flow from the plant floor to the cloud.
This session is ideal for automation engineers, system integrators, and IT professionals seeking practical insights into linking devices, data, and decisions to enable smarter, connected operations.
