This session provides an overview of the Dawn Hub—one of Eastern Canada’s most significant energy storage and transmission assets—and its role within Ontario’s broader energy system. Attendees will gain insight into how large-scale infrastructure supports system reliability, security of supply, and future energy needs.
The presentation will also outline the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) Leave to Construct (LTC) process, focusing on regulatory requirements and the critical role professional engineers play in project design, environmental assessment, risk management, and project approval.
