Mission Statement:
The challenge was to design a drawbridge (a bridge that can lift or open to allow boats to pass).
Six grade 7 and 8 student groups from schools in the chapter area participated and presented their displays to a panel of judges and observers in the meeting room of the downtown Brantford Public Library. Each group provided a presentation on the design, construction and operational testing phases of their project. This was followed by successful load testing and lift operation by each group.
Judges awarded points for presentation, design, operation and analysis. Awards followed.
