2025 Technical Talk - Climate Change and Canada's Sustainability Talk

The economic landscape in Canada is certainly capturing our attention right now. From the escalating US trade situation to the growing concerns around housing and food affordability, it's clear we're navigating some significant shifts. But within these uncertainties lies a powerful opportunity – a chance to not only build a more resilient Canadian economy but also to proactively prepare for the even greater challenges posed by climate change.

We're thrilled to invite you to an engaging and insightful talk facilitated in collaboration with David Laing, the President of the Brampton Environmental Alliance. David will illuminate the profound ways in which climate change will impact Canada's economic, social, and environmental well-being. He will compellingly present the case for change and delve into the crucial roles of change leaders, champions, and agents in shaping a sustainable future.

Following this thought-provoking presentation, David will lead an interactive workshop specifically designed to explore the powerful role that Professional Engineers such as yourselves can play in making meaningful change a reality.
Join us for this vital discussion alongside fellow engineers and Brampton residents. It's a fantastic opportunity to share ideas, connect with peers, and leave with concrete, thought-provoking insights into how we, as engineers, possess the skills and ingenuity to drive impactful change. We look forward to a collaborative and inspiring session with you!
