The Advisory Committee on Volunteers (ACV) assists other committees and task forces in the preparation of their Mandates, Terms of Reference, Work and Human Resource (HR) Plans. The committee maintains tools for volunteer training and provides means to recognize volunteers and their employers.
The active topics on ACV's agenda are: (1) Enhancement of Volunteer Training Programs; (2) Recognition Programs for Volunteer Service; (3) Effective Protocols for ACV's interactions with Council, Registrar, other Committees/Task Forces and Committee Advisors; (4) Improved Communications between ACV, all volunteers and PEO Membership.
ACV is actively involved in assisting with the implementation of the PEO Committee and Task Force Policy and Reference Guide, conducting the Vital Signs Survey of committee members and holding an annual Committee Chairs Workshop.

Meetings and Minutes:
Advisory Committee on Volunteers (ACV) meets six to eight times per year, usually on Thursdays evenings (5-8 p.m.) at the PEO head office. Participation by teleconference is allowed and encouraged. No meetings are held during the summer season.
