Volunteer Service Recognition Program

Significant changes coming to PEO’s Engineering Intern (EIT) program as of July 2023

The EIT program will be suspended to new applicants who apply, and this change will come into effect no later than July 1, 2023. The Professional Engineers Act and its regulations make the EIT program available only to those who have already applied for licensure. Since the required work experience under the FARPACTA-compliant licensing process must be acquired prior to applying, the EIT program, which is designed to assist applicants as they acquire the 48 months of acceptable engineering work experience, is no longer sustainable in its current form. Current P.Eng. applicants who are an EIT may remain in the program so long as they continue their current licensing process.

Please continue to monitor this webpage and the FARPACTA webpage for more information as it becomes available.

PEO's Volunteer Recognition Program recognizes the service that volunteers provide to the association. The efforts of volunteers result in many accomplishments and contribute to the operation and success of PEO.

The Volunteer Recognition Service program recognizes volunteers who have served on chapters, committees/ task forces and PEO Council, and celebrates achievements of milestone years of service. The recognition pin is awarded to recognize five, 15, and 20 years of service. The Engineers Canada Fellowship pin recognizes 10 years of service. A special sterling silver pin is awarded when a volunteer has 25 or more years of service.
