SELECTION PROCESS
You will receive a written acknowledgment that your nomination package has been received. Please note that a nomination must not be revealed to a candidate before its consideration by the Council of Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) and the Board of the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers (OSPE).
The Awards Committee will review all nominations carefully. Each nomination will be rated and ranked with all other nominations, based on the selection criteria. Please ensure your nomination package demonstrates contributions in the selection criteria of the appropriate award category. Once the Awards Committee has made its final selection, a recommendation will be made to PEO’s Council and OSPE’s Board. The recommendations and subsequent decisions will remain confidential until the chosen awardees are notified by the presidents of PEO and OSPE.

Following this process, you will be notified as to the success of your nomination. Nominations not selected will be retained for one year and reconsidered in the following year’s awards program on request of the lead nominator. Further material may be added to nomination packages at that time.
If your nomination is successful, it is anticipated that you, the other nominators and the awardee will wish to attend the presentation ceremony and dinner, and invitations will be sent to you.

Nominations may be submitted at any time during the year. Awards presentations are made on an annual basis. Nomination deadline is 4:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time the last Friday in February. Nominations submitted after the deadline will not be considered for that year’s awards program, but may be resubmitted with or without changes before the deadline for the following year’s program.
