Canadian Mobility: What do I need to know? Step #1 is to fill out PEO's application. You can download it from the website or you can email the MSaldanha@peo.on.ca if you wish it mailed to you. If you have been licensed in another Canadian province for at least the last 5 years you can omit the information about your references and your resume. Otherwise, you will have to fill the application form with as much information as you can provide on all the questions. PEO needs to have your address, phone number(s), place of work, academic background, information about your membership in your association, issues pertaining to "good character", etc. The Mobility Agreement will simplify the assessment (make it much shorter) if you have been licensed in another Province of Canada for at least the last 5 years because in essence all we have to do is to verify your membership in good standing directly with your association. If you have been licensed for less than the last 5 years we also require your resume and references in order to verify that your engineering experience (and PPE record) meets with Ontario requirements. Your P.Eng. referees can be from any Canadian Province, not only Ontario. |
