Engineers Canada Seeks Volunteers for Bridging Government and Engineers Program

Engineers Canada (formerly the Canadian Council of Professional Engineers) is seeking volunteers for its Bridging Government and Engineers (BGE) Program, a non-partisan initiative that partners engineers with their local federal member of Parliament (MP).

Program volunteers are asked to develop an ongoing relationship with their local member of Parliament to help ensure MPs hear the voice of the engineering profession as it relates to issues that fall under the responsibility of the Government of Canada.

Ontario candidates must be members in good standing with Professional Engineers Ontario and willing to commit to a minimum two year term.  Volunteers will participate inan initial training session organized by Engineers Canada to familiarize themselves with the program and EC’s key issues and recommendations to the federal government.
