Regulation 941/90 Amended Effective January 1, 2010 to Increase Some Fees
At its meeting on November 20, 2009, PEO Council approved amendments to Regulation 941/90 made under the Professional Engineers Act. Following approval by cabinet, the regulation amendments were filed with the registrar of regulations as O.Reg. 480/09 on December 11, 2009. These regulation amendments increase fees other than the annual P.Eng. licence fee and Certificate of Authorization fees by about 10 per cent to account for inflation, Council’s policy to standardize the cost of PEO exams, and the costs associated with instituting police checks for all new licence applicants, as recommended by the Licensing Process Task Force and approved by Council. Except for the P.Eng. licence fee, PEO fees have not increased since 2006. Following are PEO’s fees as of January 1, 2010.
